Jascha Sommer lives in Cologne. He works as performance and media artist and as curator in collaborations. With his artistic performances, installations and walks, Jascha Sommer creates intensive encounters and spatiotemporal interruptions. In No Future Club he invites his audience to a temporary rejection of future and prediction, in Unrealised 2018-20 he reflects on all those ideas and plans that did not materialize, and in Glückliche Zeiten he uses the setting of a horse racecourse for an act of refusing competition and performance. Joint works are created with Anna Kpok, among others. In his curatorial work, Jascha designs festival and academy programs as well as event series. He coordinates the mobile academy Cheers for Fears.
